What settings can I get the bokeh?

I am going to have an interview for freelance photographer. I am just an amateur photographer and have no idea how things work as far as compensation.
Do they get paid per picture or per occasion ? How much is the average rate for freelance photographer for local magazine ?

Just wondering what I should set my aperture and shutter speed to. And will I be able to achieve really good bokeh with this lens?
